Why are there water drops on my soap?

  • Updated

Melt and pour soap contains glycerin, a humectant that pulls moisture from the air. Great for keeping your skin hydrated, not so great for keeping your soap dry!

  • Here’s how to solve the problem. Once your soap is out of the mold, wrap it tightly with plastic wrap or store in an airtight container until you’re ready to use it. If you live in a very humid area, it can help to use a dehumidifier while you’re making the soap. The water drops do not hurt the soap or affect the performance, and you can clean them up by gently blotting with tissue paper or a smooth cloth. For storage, keep the soap base in its original packaging and place in a cool, dark area.
