Step 1: Separate the plastic ring that is attached to the threaded cap.

Step 2: Pull up on the ring to extend the spout from the lid.

Step 3: Twist the threaded cap to remove it from the spout. 

Step 4: Remove the inner seal by pulling up on the attached ring.
